Megan Thee Stallion fans have reason to celebrate as the Houston rapper revealed that she is working on a new album. During a brief red carpet interview at the 2023 Oscars on Sunday, the chart-topping artist was asked by ET if she had any new music in the works. “Oh, I am,” she replied, adding, “New music, F**k y’all hoes. Bye,” before walking off.
This announcement marks Megan’s return to the public eye after staying mostly quiet following the emotional testimony she gave during the first week of the Tory Lanez trial. After being shot by Lanez on December 23, 2022, the Canadian rapper was found guilty and is expected to be sentenced on April 10, 2023.
While Megan has been keeping a low profile, she recently announced that she will be headlining the March Madness Music Festival AT&T Block Party in Houston. Taking place during NCAA Men’s Final Four weekend from March 31 to April 2, the three-day music event promises to be a hit with fans. “There’s no place I’d rather be for my first performance of the year than my hometown of Houston,” Megan said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to seeing my Hotties and putting on an unforgettable show for them.”
Traumazine, Megan’s previous album, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart in August 2022. With the news of her upcoming album and live performance, fans eagerly await what the “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker has in store for them.
