Lil Uzi Vert is in hot water over his satanic lyrics about City Girls’ JT. However, the Philadelphia rapper recently addressed the controversy during an interview with TMZ. According to Uzi, the lyrics were not meant to be taken literally, and he doesn’t actually believe in Satan. He further explained that he simply wanted to convey that he has control over women. Uzi’s girlfriend JT was also present when he made the song, and she didn’t think much of the lyric.

While some people have accused Uzi of worshipping Satan, he dismissed the allegations, saying that he simply exercises his freedom of speech in his music. Nonetheless, the controversy has attracted negative attention from some fellow artists, including Summer Walker.

Uzi’s new album, The Pink Tape, which features the controversial song, is set to be released in a couple of months.
